Der PL 60FD ist ein Deckeneinbaulautsprecher mit einem Feuertopf und Schmelzsicherung.

Er hat einen Feurtopf, ein Keramik Anschlussfeld (widerstandsfähig bis 650°C), eine feuerfeste interne Verkabelung und eine Schmelzsicherung (Schmelzpunkt 150°C), somit hat ein Feuer direkt am Lautsprecher keine Auswirkung auf das komplette Audiosystem.
