TOMMEX installs RCF P Series for ŁKS Stadium

Łódź, Poland - The Władysław Król Municipal Stadium underwent a complete renovation starting in 2015, reaching 18,029 covered seat capacity with new office spaces, services, and catering areas. A modern facility would not be complete without optimum sound coverage, recently provided by TOMMEX, installing a proper RCF sound system.
The opening ceremony, also known as the ŁKS Municipal Stadium, took place on April 22nd, 2022. With a football match between ŁKS Łódź and Chrobry Głogów, the opening event also featured a concert with Margaret – a popular polish singer. After more than three decades, it was the first time a game had been played with all four stands functioning and open to the public.

The facility has hosted football games since 1924. The original stadium, built for association football club ŁKS Łódź, had a combination of grandstands and standing areas. The stands were renovated in sections throughout the decades, and by 2001 the field had seating for 12,160 fans.

This last urban investment has been developed in stages. The first part of the stadium was completed in 2015 – with a modern tribune of 5,700 seat capacity, locker rooms, and the football field. The further extension of the stadium began in 2019 when three additional tribunes were added to the first, and from there forward, the stadium became fully operational. The stadium is ranked 12th among all football stadiums in Poland by capacity and is currently the biggest stadium in the Premier League.
