La plaza Prato della Valle de Padua es un emplazamiento único para acoger eventos de gran tamaño. En su colosal plaza, aproximadamente 80 000 personas celebraron la Nochevieja de 2019 a 2020. El evento, subvencionado por la ciudad de Padua y organizado por Radio Company y Future Vintage Festival, contó con actuaciones de numerosos artistas y DJ. Poco después de medianoche, el cantante de rap Fabri Fibra hizo acto de presencia en el escenario como cabeza de cartel.

Prato della Valle es una de las mayores plazas de Italia, con un área de 88 000 metros cuadrados. Los técnicos de Mazzon Service, que ya están familiarizados con el lugar, esperaban un público de más de 55 000 personas. Para la PA principal decidieron utilizar el módulo line array HDL 50-A, el más potente de la serie HDL de RCF. Después de la impecable organización y el gran éxito de la fiesta, la ciudad de Padua tiene previsto repetir el evento.

GULLY GANG ENTERTAINS WITH RCF HDL SERIES

The rap genre has recently been resurrected as the mainstream music in India. Hip-hop artist and rapper Divine, aka Vivian Fernandes, one of the pioneers of the underground Indian hip-hop rap scene, is creating a buzz across the nation with his hard-hitting tracks. In 2019, Divine notably contributed to the soundtrack of Bollywood’s blockbuster musical drama film Gully Boy, inspired by his (and peer Naezy’s) street rapper days.

With his knack for penning his own hits songs, along with an electrifying live act, along with meticulous flow, and his approachable persona, Divine has become hugely popular since founding the Gully Gang. Chennai recently witnessed his high-adrenaline show at Phoenix Market Chennai Courtyard. Along with DJ JD, and rapper Shaw Rule, Divine’s Gully Gang captivated the crowd with his popular numbers.

Soundgear from Chennai were the rental partner who provided an RCF HDL series PA for the event. “We have been in the pro-audio and lighting rental services for the past 12 years. Our main focus is on live sound reinforcement and we handle a lot of live bands and artists, music festivals, corporate gigs and weddings,” says Balaji, Director of Soundgear. He continues, “For the Gully Gang show, we deployed 12 RCF HDL-50A and 12 SUB 8006-AS for FOH. Additionally for both centre fills and delay, six RCF HDL 20-A per side have been deployed for more even coverage across the 2,000 capacity venue. Our client, Phoenix Chennai & Times of India, appreciated our efforts and the band’s sound engineer, Adhiraj Singh, who had the pleasure of operating the system, had nothing but good things to say about it.”

RCF EQUIPA ÍNTEGRAMENTE EL NUEVO CENTRO INTERNACIONAL DE CONVENCIONES DE GALES

Cuando el Centro Internacional de Convenciones de Gales (ICCW en sus siglas en inglés) abrió sus puertas en septiembre de 2019, con un coste de 84 millones de libras, se convirtió en el primer centro de su tipo en Gales. El trabajo conjunto del Gobierno de Gales con el centro vacacional Celtic Manor hicieron posible la creación de 26 000 metros cuadrados para reuniones, conferencias y ferias (el mismo tamaño de cuatro campos de rugby internacional).

Dentro de este espacio se encuentra el recinto principal de 4000 metros cuadrados, sin pilares y reconfigurable, el cual supuso todo un desafío para Stage Electrics, la empresa de tecnología encargada de sonorizar el recinto. Su solución fue el uso integral de productos del catálogo de RCF, conectando casi 800 altavoces (con lo que se utilizaron más de 1000 componentes RCF en total) en una PA multiuso ubicada en el recinto principal y sistemas móviles en las salas de reuniones, que se combinan para crear un entorno que cumple plenamente las funciones de megafonía principal y alerta por voz.

A Stage Electrics se le adjudicó el contrato para encargarse de la parte audiovisual, la iluminación (incluidos los espacios públicos), los equipos desmontables y el asesoramiento de ingeniería de escenarios, tal y como planificó Russel Phillips, vicepresidente de instalaciones y desarrollo de Celtic Manor. Pero antes que nada, Simon Cooper, director del equipo de ingeniería de Stage Electrics, y Saul Eagles, gerente de desarrollo de negocio, tuvieron que crear un programa de reducción de costes estricto e inflexible para ajustarse al presupuesto.

Stage Electrics ha gozado de un enorme éxito instalando sistemas de RCF en una amplia variedad de aplicaciones durante más de 15 años, tal y como afirma Dan Aldridge, director comercial y de proyectos.

RCF modules opted for SOUNDLINE at Cannstatter Wasen, one of the largest fairs in Germany

The Cannstatter Wasen is one of the largest folk festivals in Germany alongside the Munich Oktoberfest. The fair comprises large tents with visitors enjoying food and beer and music. For the tenth time already, German company SOUNDLINE Ton+Lichttechnik with owner Robert Reichle was responsible for the Göckelesmaier festival tent, both at Wasen and at the spring festival. In the Göckelesmaier tent at Cannstatter Wasen, which holds over 4,000 people, Robert Reichle relied on RCF audio equipment: the active Line Array System HDL 30- A was installed at the main stage, supported by numerous TT modules allocated throughout the entire tent.

RCF APPOINTS TOMMEX TO HANDLE INSTALLATION & VOICE ALARM PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION IN POLAND

Tommex Żebrowscy Sp. J. (Tommex) has been appointed Polish distributor for RCF’s Installed Sound, Commercial Audio and Voice Alarm EN54 product lines, with effect from January 2020.

Tommex’s Commercial Director, Marcin Zimny, stated that the move resulted from changes in the ownership structure and distribution strategy of their existing long-term loudspeaker partner. “This meant we were looking for a new partner with a high-quality installation range, that could complement our portfolio; RCF provided a great opportunity and was an exact match.”

Martial arts live in Trier with RCF HDL 30-A Line Arrays

For the first time Integra FC, Germany’s largest series of amateur and pro-MMA events, made a stopover in the city of Trier at the Arena Trier. Athletes from 16 nations and martial arts schools from the surrounding area could prove themselves in front of the Trier audience. Event technology service provider TRIACS with managing director Udo Treimetten has been supporting the Integra Fighting Championships in all trades in all productions since 2015: Sound, light, video technology and live stream.

Wladimir Schwarz, Managing Director Integra Fighting Championship (www.ifc-mma.de) comments the joint work: “We have now been working together with Triacs GmbH from Föhren for more than 4 years to manage our martial arts events. The company TRIACS has the necessary know-how and the right feeling, which is important for our events. A sound system with high speech intelligibility and deep basses is vital for the moderation and the desired emotion when the fighters move in. The lighting and video concept is very well thought out and ideally implemented for us. Already during the planning phases and the delivered 3D visualisations, we were always impressed by our partner TRIACS. We are already looking forward to the next events which are currently being planned.”

TSL Production relies on RCF sound systems and provides sound at 15th Musikmeile Bedburg

The 15th music festival Musikmeile Bedburg was again an event of superlatives. During one weekend, about 20 bands played on 9 stages, inspired more than 30.000 visitors, and all this for free. Technical service provider TSL Production took responsibility for the complete technical implementation of the event and supervised sound, lighting, stage and video. Across all stages, TSL used audio equipment from RCF. Christina Stürmer, Coby Grant and many other artists could rely on perfect sound conditions.

The technical support of Musikmeile Bedburg can be considered as a big event in its entirety and poses some challenges in terms of material and workforce. To equip all stages perfectly, TSL Production and its team of 25 professionals around company owner Frank Schmitz used a total of approx. 150 components from the RCF product family.

SONOLOC FIELDS THREE HDL SYSTEMS AT BRITTANY’S BELLE ON AIR FESTIVAL

RCF rental partner Sonoloc equipped the popular Belle Ile On Air Festival in Brittany, France, with an HDL 30-A line array. Situated at Belle Ile en Mer, a paradise island off the Quiberon peninsula, on Brittany’s west coast, it was being staged for the fifth time since 2015, with ten bands playing across two stages. This is the only current music event on the island. It takes place on an open-air site, surrounded by the Vauban fortress, and offers an eclectic program in an exceptional and enchanting setting.

In 2011 it boasted an audience of just 1,500 people but its year-on-year success resulted in almost 9,000 people attending this year. Promoted by Tomm Eo the line-up this year consisted of Emancipator, ASM - A State Of Mind, Deluxe, Super Temple Sound and Rone, representing different genres including Electro-Jazz, Reggae and House.

PA coverage on the main Vauban stage was represented by two RCF hangs of eight HDL 30-A, with eight SUB 9006-AS handling the low frequencies. Meanwhile, the smaller Ramonette stage was equipped with two hangs of 12 HDL 28-A, with six SUB 9006-AS subwoofers. On both stages, infills were provided by four HDL 26-A, while a quantity of TT 25-CXA met floor monitoring requirements, with a pair of EVOX 12 as side-fills.

The Picnic Restaurant, located on the popular Ribarac on the banks of the Danube, has won over the hearts of Novi Sad residents in Northern Serbia in a very short space of time, and become one of the favorite places to dine and escape from the city bustle. To enhance the cozy ambience, delicious food and beautiful views, good music and a professional sound system were also a prerequisite.
