Yokohama (Japan) - Yokohama Stadium selects RCF as its sound reinforcement system for both sports and entertainment events. The stadium is one of the venues of the Summer Olympics and one of the most important sports facilities in Japan. It is, in fact, the largest venue in Kantō region of its kind, primarily used for baseball as the home field of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. International artists also performed at the Stadium, such as Santana, David Bowie, Madonna, and Michael Jackson.

Shock Bilbao Club opens its doors in February 2021 in downtown Bilbao, enchanting the eyes with shades of bubblegum pink, fluorine blue, and hues of purple. If the coronavirus has forced nightclub owners to reinvent themselves with new leisure proposals, Rodríguez, who was already the founder of MoMa Bilbao Club, marks a before and after to the pandemic. Shock Bilbao is a place for all audiences and ages, open from the morning until late midnight to enjoy food, drinks, and especially good music through RCF TT+ Series speakers.

Recently, in Łódź City (Poland), under a public service contract with local government, the UKS Anilana Sports Hall was granted a new scoreboard and a complete modernized sound system upgrade to RCF— covering the playing field and the stands. The Hall is a facility with longstanding traditions, actively servicing the Łódź community for several decades. UKS “Anilana” refers to the tradition of “KS Anilana”, one of the most famous handball clubs in Poland, enjoying great popularity and winning awards during Olympic Games in the 1970s and 1980s. The capacity of the UKS Anilana Sports Hall is 22000 m3. The playing field area is 1200 m2 and can host up to 1,000 people seated in the stands. The surface of the sports field is covered with Taraflex flooring and meets the requirements of Handball Federation, Federation of professional Volleyball and Basketball.

The step-by-step system overhaul process at the Wellin Hall, inside the performance venue of Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. The town of Clinton, NY is the home of Hamilton College. Precision Audio Services has provided audio engineering services to the college’s Music and Theater Department for several years, and this spring the company heads up a sound system upgrade in Wellin Hall. The 700-seat hall has served as the central hub of music education and concerts for the college since its construction in the 1980s. The bare concrete and polished wood walls combined with flown wooden acoustic panels above the audience creates a highly reverberant environment—perfect for the hall’s original purpose of unamplified acoustic performances. However, these properties that make the environment desirable for acoustic performances, also make sound-reinforced events a significant challenge. "With an RT60 of almost 2.5 seconds, achieving a clear mix and vocal delivery is typically a major source of frustration for visiting mix engineers,” says Michael Lawrence from Precision Audio Services. “Although to a large extent, this is simply the reality of working in such an environment, one of the goals for the new design was to increase the consistency over the space and minimize excess energy splashing onto the walls and other non-audience surfaces, both areas where the current installed system struggled." Another design challenge was presented by the way the space is used – or, more accurately, ways. The hall hosts a wide variety of musical, theatrical, dramatic, and speech events that necessitate a large degree of flexibility, where the current system presented some limitations. “We have three different mix positions depending on the needs of the show,” explains the venue’s Technical Coordinator, Bill Di Paolo. “Sometimes we are driving press feeds, live stream feeds, backstage zones, and we need a way to pull those feeds off the console without the operator having to jump through hoops. Another thing that’s been a bit of a problem for us is that the current mains are dead hung, so there’s no way to get to them for maintenance if there’s an issue. We had to swap out a bad box last year and it turned into a whole labor call just to get the box down to the deck to be worked on.” The system design is far from the traditional install-patch approach. “Sometimes I have to adapt to things very quickly, on the fly, and in the past that’s been a challenge where we couldn’t get physical access to a loudspeaker, or all the signal flow was happening in the back of a rack somewhere with no easy way to get signals in or out of the rig at various points in the chain,” Di Paolo notes. “For larger events, we typically have a dedicated sound engineer but often it’s just me trying to handle multiple things at once, or we have a student operator, and so we need to be able to get to things easily.” Starting from the console outputs, the new system design approach allows quick and easy changes before or after the processor, all the way to the loudspeaker positions themselves. No punch-down connectors in the back of racks – all the system patch points were brought to the front of the drive rack in a custom XLR patch bay system from Elite Core Audio, resembling more of a touring rack design mentality. I knew of several DSPs that would have been an appropriate fit for this project, but settled on an Allen & Heath AHM-64, which I felt offered the “best of both worlds” between a typical install-type free-wire DSP and a more live-oriented fixed-structure DSP. An A&H IP6 controller sits next to the mixing console, configured for quick access to mute/unmute the entire PA plus dedicated mute and level controls for the ADA assistive listening system, the backstage 70-volt system, and the press send. These feeds are derived from the console mix and accessible via the patch bay, so providing a press send is as simple as plugging in a cable and turning a knob to adjust for the mic or line level requirement of the press equipment. The main PA hangs presented some issues as well – the existing hang point locations didn’t allow for the hangs to be lowered for maintenance due to the proximity of the loudspeakers to the hall’s architectural elements and lighting fixtures. "We decided to move the hang points onstage about 18 inches, which would further the clearance away from the side walls to allow the arrays to be freely raised and lowered. It required the creation of new points via custom-length bridles between existing steel. This enabled the system to be lowered for maintenance or simply have the trim height adjusted for various events. The standard trim height was chosen to be the best compromise of sightlines and coverage, while the chain falls gave the option to lower and re-splay the arrays for theatrical events in this space – something not achievable in the past." Lawrence explains.

The Sulim Kadyrov Mosque, located in the village of Oyskhara, has a capacity of up to 15,000 people. Opened in 2020, the 70+ RCF speakers project for the building was carried out by Master Sound with the assistance of the Moscow-based RCF distributor ARIS. In 1932, Sulim Kadyrov was convicted by the authorities for teaching the Holy Quran and religion of Islam. For his actions, he spent 14 long years in the Gulag camps. The grand opening of the mosque took place on August 21, 2020, with the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov attending as a special guest. The celebration coincides with the 69th anniversary of the birth of the first President of the Chechen Republic, hero of Russia, Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov. The air volume of the hall, taking into account the under- and upper- balconies, is about 14,000 m3, with a total surface area is 6360 m2. Acoustic calculations were measured by the computer modeling software AFMG EASE. The sound system covers the entire premises of the prayer halls (the main prayer hall and two halls on the basement level), providing optimal intelligibility as required. Since there are no intelligibility standards required in Russia, ARIS engineers used external scientific publications about acoustic standards in mosques, including those carried out by ARIS, and with the support of the Acoustics of Halls, inside the Research Institute of Building Physics laboratory (RAASN). According to these studies, taking into account the volume of the main prayer hall, the optimum reverberation time for RT60 in the frequency range of 500-1000 Hz should be from 1.9 to 2.2 seconds. "Since there were no possible adjustments to the original finish, the challenge to reach the optimal RT60 was difficult," comments Alexandr Shamray, Head of Sales at ARIS. "To achieve good intelligibility, the Speech Transmission Index (STI) must be around 0.60, for excellent transmission, or more. Taking into account the extremely high resonance of prayer halls and the lack of a meaningful reduction using acoustic absorbers, we focused on​ intelligibility parameters. Relying solely on controlled directivity and quality of the sound system we worked on reaching 0.50-0.55 (or higher)".

Les championnats du monde de snowboard étaient de retour à Valmalenco (Italie) en janvier 2021, mais à huis clos en raison de l'urgence sanitaire. Après une absence de neuf ans, la compétition retrouvait l'Alpe Palù et ses 60 kilomètres de pistes du domaine skiable. Frate Professional s'est chargé de la mise en place des systèmes audio et vidéo, en choisissant un système sans fil composé de stacks au sol d’enceintes line array RCF HDL 26-A et de subwoofers RCF HDL 35-AS. Le système audio demandé par le client devait garantir une sonorisation homogène sur tout l’espace dédié à la course, y compris les zones de départ et d'arrivée, avec une distance de 800 mètres à vol d'oiseau entre les points principaux de diffusion. Fabio Frate et son équipe ont mis au point une solution stratégique : "Pour éviter de tirer de longues liaisons et de traverser la piste avec des câbles, nous avons choisi d'utiliser des ponts réseau sans fil Neutrik Xirium depuis le local technique des remontées mécaniques jusqu'à la zone d'arrivée, où se trouvait la régie. Une ligne analogique symétrique existante dans les locaux du télésiège a également permis une connexion filaire avec le point de diffusion sonore de la zone de départ." Le système de sonorisation a été installé le long de la piste de snowboard pendant 5 jours, dont un jour de pré-configuration. Le système a fonctionné sans interruption 8 heures par jour, et il est resté à l'extérieur (sous la neige) toutes les nuits pendant le championnat, en utilisant uniquement le cache antipluie pour protéger le panneau arrière de connexion de chaque unité. "RCF nous a assuré que le système fonctionnerait sans problème, car tous les composants sont étanches et ne souffrent pas des températures inférieures à zéro, ce qui a été le cas. Ici, la nuit, la température peut descendre jusqu’à -25°C." En plus du système de sonorisation, Frate Professional a également installé un mur de LED extérieur d’un pas de pixel de 3,9 mm pour afficher des contenus vidéo synchronisés avec l'audio.

The Florian Krygier Municipal Stadium has recently undergone a complete modernization which includes the installation of a new sound system based on RCF P Series speakers. The Florian Krygier Municipal Stadium located in Szczecin, Poland, is a football stadium with a long history. It was built in 1925 with the name of Florian Krygier, named after a Polish football coach who was an instrumental figure in Pogoń Szczecin’s history. Since the 1950s club management was under MKS Pogoń Szczecin until 1989 when Szczecin City Commune transferred operations to the Municipal Sports, Recreation and Rehabilitation Centre (Polish: Miejski Ośrodek Sportu, Rekreacji i Rehabilitacji - MOSRiR). Until the beginning of 2007, it was the most prominent facility in the Polish Orange Ekstraklasa football league. It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of Pogoń Szczecin. The stadium itself has recently undergone a complete modernization, so only part of the old stadium is still in place. A significant reconstruction started in 2019 with planned completion scheduled for 2022. The investment includes the Training Centre for Childres and Youth (Centrum Szkolenia Dzieci i Młodzieży), remodeling and expanding the stadium, football fields, and associated infrastructure. The new stadium will reach 20,500 seat capacity and 22,000 square meters of covered area. It will transform into a “closed” stadium with four grandstands and roofed. The first phase of modernization of the stadium within the west and south grandstands has been completed recently with a new sound system based on RCF P Series speakers. All P 6215 are suspended to the roof of the stadium coupled in vertical clusters, two speakers per cluster.

Belli&Pettinati has chosen RCF for the restoration of the Duomo dei Militari, a church of historical significance in Padua (Italy). Maintaining a small footprint and paired with compact S 5012 subs, the RCF L 2406-T column loudspeakers ensure a full dynamic range, high intelligibility and excellent musical performance for church services and live music events hosted by the facility. The Church of San Prosdocimo is of very particular significance as it was the first Military Church to be used by the Italian Ministry of Defence-Army. Built in Padua between the 15th and 17th centuries (original construction on the site, however, dates as far back as 1180), it was modified and extended several times until the early 1800s, when Napoleon’s emanations had it adapted and transformed, comprising other places of worship, a bakery and military warehouse. Subsequently, restoration works begun in 1988 with the building rededicated in 1990 and reopened for public worship with its own military chaplain. The effects of the 2012 earthquake in Emilia made it inaccessible until 2019, when a new and definitive restoration was begun. Inside, as well as housing precious works, such as paintings, sculptures and artistic stained-glass windows, it features an impressive pipe organ, the result of a collaboration between two specialized German companies — Steinmeyer, dealt with the sound and Laukhuff, the console’s electric-electronic controls — capable, among other things, of guaranteeing 64 free memory combinations for a performer's personal use. A feasibility study for implementing the new audio set-up began last autumn, with some given constraints: the use of materials that are reliable over time requiring no specialized assistance for their daily management; a non-invasive layout, but integrated into the architectural features of its location (which, due to its origin and historicity, is protected by the Superintendence of Fine Arts) and providing the possibility to easily host small, selected acoustic music and artistic events.
Installation
Tunbridge Wells Baptist Church in Kent, UK, has substantially upgraded its PA with an RCF HDL 26-A ultra-compact active two-way line array. The system was specified and installed by Adlib after the company successfully bid for the full audio-visual contract—including lighting and projection—after the previous system had reached end of life. Stated Adlib’s, Tim Robinson, “The process started back in October 2017 and we have been through several iterations along the way.” The quotation they provided not only exceeded the remit for performance but also met the budget, as well as the requirement for a discreet, elegant system, finished in white. After considering various options Robinson was convinced that “the HDL 26-A has provided the church with the best outcome available.” He explained, “The acoustic modelling in EASE Focus showed that we could achieve incredibly even SPL and consistent tonal balance throughout the audience, whilst maximising gain before feedback on stage. The availability of the system in white was key to accommodating a system of this size with the interior design.” Each of the two hangs comprises seven HDL 26-A elements, integrated with a pair of flyable HDL 35-AS 15” subwoofers. Despite the loudspeakers being self-powered, there were no practical weight constraints. “Even though they’re self-powered, the HDL 26-A system is still lighter than some externally-powered competitors,” he confirmed. “The structural engineer had confirmed that there was plenty of capacity in the roof, thanks to the PA being sited directly under a massive concrete beam, so installation with RCF’s flying hardware was ideal.” One design criterion was that all LF elements should be flown. “The compatibility between the HDL 35-AS and HDL 26-A made that an easy decision. For practical reasons, it keeps the floor clear and all items out of harm’s way; and for acoustic reasons it maximises the efficiency and coherence of the arrays and meant we would not be murdering the front rows with sub.” In addition, the provision of six RCF HD 10-A active two-way wedge monitors provides additional flexibility. “Being self-powered, this provides maximum value to the client because they can be used in different configurations in other parts of the church, redeployed as three stereo PAs,” says Robinson, who favours self-powered monitors in multi-use facilities. Finally, a pair of RCF MR 50 have been installed in the foyer, driven from the matrix on the mixer so that it can be run independently. But, he adds, the RCF system would be nothing without the advanced control of RCF’s proprietary RDNet. “The granularity of control afforded by individual amplification and FIR processing in every box is marvellous and really helps deliver tonal consistency throughout the whole audience area.” RDNet Measure, the 4-input, dual-channel FFT measurement system included in the latest version of RDNet, is a further bonus. Robinson said, “I can see lots of engineers, whether already RCF users or not, installing the free software for that feature alone.” As for distribution, he says, “The audience area is almost exactly square and so the 100° horizontal coverage and variable vertical coverage [of HDL 26-A] make it ideal.” The new PA will comfortably handle both the house worship band and spoken word. In future it also has the capacity to serve any private hire functions that the Church may wish to entertain. Summing up, the installer says, “While the HDL 26-A sounds as good as I thought it would be, the HDL 35-AS far exceeded my expectations. I was expecting a total of four 15” to deliver a nice full range system, which would be more than sufficient for a worship band, but hardly trouser-flapping sub. The fact that the HDL 35-AS goes so low and so loud, despite the box being so physically small for a 15”, means there’s some RCF witchcraft in there somewhere!” Finally, he says, the support received from RCF throughout the process was exemplary. “They were always highly communicative, and all components arrived on time from the factory, despite being in the middle of a pandemic.”

Depuis 20 ans, les Bengals de Cincinnati s’en prennent à leurs rivaux de la NFL au Paul Brown Stadium, une arène de 65 515 places qui a toujours mis l’accent sur la force et la qualité de ses systèmes audio. Tout aussi connu comme la résidence de shows d’artistes allant de Kenny Chesney à Guns N’Roses, PBS, comme les habitants l’appellent, souscrire à l’idée que la couverture sonore allant des halls au sièges devrait être à la hauteur des attentes au niveau des concerts à tous les niveaux, que ce soit le jour du match ou pour des événements spéciaux. À cette fin, un projet en trois phases visant à redynamiser le plan acoustique original du stade, vieux de 20 ans, vient d’être achevé cet automne, débutant le 4 octobre devant une foule réduite qui a vu les Bengals battre les Jaguars de Jacksonville. Conçu et mis en œuvre par Durrell Sports Audio Management, basé à Nashville, tennessee, le nouveau système est un amalgame de composants aboutis, de traitement audio amélioré et de haut-parleurs personnalisés construits en Italie par RCF expressément pour répondre aux besoins de cette application unique. "Le Stade Paul Brown ne ressemble à aucun autre dans le pays en matière d’audio", explique John Horrell de Durrell. "Chaque aspect du ressenti Audio le jour du match, des annonces simples à la musique, est aussi vivant que possible. Il n’y a rien ici qui ressemble même vaguement à une reproduction dégradée type télévision playback. C’est pourquoi, lorsque nous avons été choisis pour mettre à niveau la diffusion, nous avons estimé qu’il était essentiel de créer un système capable de véritables performances de haut niveau." Le projet de mise à niveau a été élaboré en trois phases, le premier coup en 2018 et apportant, entre autres, de nouveaux renforts RCF au pont supérieur et au niveau de la verrière. La phase deux a ajouté environ 120 nouveaux haut-parleurs RCF au niveau inférieur et 70 autres au niveau de la canopée en 2019, ainsi que huit subwoofers RCF double 21 pouces de chaque côté du niveau de la verrière. La troisième phase du projet a été approuvée en janvier 2020, de sorte qu’en février, le travail était en cours, Durrell travaillant main dans la main avec United Electric de Louisville, kentucky pour transformer le nouveau projet en réalité. Questi sistemi permetteranno una perfetta copertura mobile per la trasmissione di dati e contenuti negli spazi con grande frequentazione di pubblico. Grazie a questa collaborazione tecnica, gli impianti DAS (Distributed Antenna System) e Small Cells di Cellnex godranno di una certificazione ad hoc che permetterà all’azienda di infrastrutture di Tlc di installare i propri sistemi presso le strutture indoor e outdoor di stadi, arene e spazi dedicati alla musica e agli spettacoli da vivo come la nuova RCF Arena di Reggio Emilia, l’arena outdoor più grande d’Europa. Per compatibilità elettromagnetica si intendono tutte quelle procedure atte a verificare che un apparato elettronico, come ad esempio un sistema di mini-antenne, non interferisca con altre apparecchiature e che non sia esso stesso disturbato da altri apparati che utilizzano lo stesso spettro elettromagnetico. I test che vengono effettuati dai produttori di apparati, come ad esempio RCF, per verificare il livello di immunità ai campi elettromagnetici sono stabiliti dalle stringenti normative tecniche europee e da ulteriori normative internazionali. In particolare, RCF e Cellnex hanno effettuato delle procedure di test con il supporto di tecnici specializzati di entrambe le società. Il risultato è stato una effettiva immunità dei sistemi audio di RCF ai campi elettromagnetici degli impianti DAS e Small Cells di Cellnex. Anche nel caso di sistemi DAS installati in ospedali, aeroporti o ascensori dopo aver determinato la potenza al connettore d’antenna tale che non generi un campo elettromagnetico che superi il livello di immunità dell’apparato più sensibile, si procede con test di tipo funzionale o con campagne di misura del campo elettromagnetico. Grazie a queste procedure è possibile escludere la possibilità per l’impianto DAS di interferire con i sistemi già presenti a tutto vantaggio della sicurezza degli utenti.

Harmon AV, an events production and sound integration company based in Fort Myers Florida, has seen a steady increase of integration business over the past few months. With COVID restrictions lifted statewide, Bobby Harmon, co-owner and integrator at Harmon AV, has seen a big push with clients wanting to improve sound quality, become more digitally capable, and stream video online. One notable installation was a complete system upgrade at Burnt Store Presbyterian Church [BSP] in Punta Gorda which features an RCF HDL active line array system. When the conversation started about upgrading BSP’s audio it was apparent that the 20-year-old system was in dire need of an upgrade. “The challenge for us was to find a PA that was properly voiced and was going to cover the room for varying types of services,” said Harmon. “Initially when we discussed upgrading the system, one thing that came up was their live concert series. The church holds several live concerts [with full bands] throughout the year, and usually hire outside companies to provide additional sound.” Other acoustic challenges throughout the church included echo and bounce-back which were addressed by Harmon AV. “One issue we had to address was the reverberance of the room, which they liked for the traditional services, so they didn’t want to change that,” continued Harmon. “We talked about room acoustics and treating it, but the music minister didn’t want to change the natural acoustics of the room. Another issue brought up by one of the pastors, was the ‘echo in a cave’ sound of being when speaking on the stage, which we determined was bounce-back from the backwall. We knew we could solve these issues with a line array system and few fills throughout the room,” said Harmon

Podolsk (Moscow Region, Russia) - The Palace of Culture "October" is an 850 seat theatre with two levels, established in 1966. The venue hosts many types of events from dance to concerts and local events. RCF Russian distributor, ARIS, provided a new HDL 28-A line array with SUB 9004-AS for a new and improved sound, recently allowed to open to the 240 seat balcony to the public, previously closed for acoustical issues. Installed more than ten years ago, the previous sound system was unable to cover the rather spacious balcony properly. Therefore, tickets to the balcony during box office concerts were not sold, avoiding complaints from disappointed patrons. When the budget was approved for a new sound reinforcement system, a mandatory requirement from management of the House of Culture was to provide a high-quality sound experience to all sections of the venue including the balcony and parterre. ARIS suggested hanging two RCF active line array clusters of six elements each. The two upper elements in the cluster exclusively targeting the balcony, and the four lower elements pointing the parterre. Three SUB 9004-A active 18-inch subwoofers were configured in L / R stacks providing sound at lower frequencies. All control and monitoring of the system is carried out from the sound engineer's booth using RDNet protocol.

With a long and storied history, professional boxing has carried an undeniable mystique with events that are larger than life—the allure of bright lights, a commanding introduction from the announcer, and fighters unleashed by the iconic ring of the bell. But for most live events in 2020, one major element is missing—the roar of ring-side fans. When Arizona Sound Productions was hired to provide video and sound production for a string of boxing matches across the US, they found themselves with new protocols, unique challenges, and time to kill. “Working this year has been interesting to say the least,” said Jared Jasinski, owner and lead engineer for Arizona Sound Productions [AZSP] based in Phoenix. “With COVID restrictions we’ve been forced to be more creative and think outside the box. We’ve had opportunities to create something different for viewers at home, without an audience we can put a boxing ring anywhere [outdoors] and make it look great on camera.” Arizona Sound Productions got its start in 2011 with small to mid-sized church and school installs, moving into sound reinforcement for live events and festivals. From there the company grew into larger events for Fortune 500 clients, MTV concert series for one, and lending support for Super Bowl XLIX back in 2015 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale Arizona. On August 15, 2020, AZSP set the stage in Oklahoma, making boxing history with what has been called the “street fight” concept. AZSP clients’ Holden Productions and Matchroom Boxing dropped a boxing match in the middle of downtown Tulsa for a night of fights headlined by Cecilia Brækhus, defending her Women’s Welter Weight title against contender, Jessica McCaskill. The match was staged at the intersection of East 5th Street and South Boston Avenue with no fans present. Medical protocols and strict social distancing guidelines were in place for a full night of action. It was an intense process,” described Jasinski. “COVID testing was required for everyone on my crew, before traveling to Oklahoma, then again when we arrived. Once we were all cleared our driver took us to the hotel, where we received quarantine wrist bands. It’s not a fun process, but at the end of the day we’re glad to be working.” Using EASE Focus to determine hang points and angles, ASP designed a small line array rig with 16 RCF HDL 6-A Active Line Array Modules. Line arrays were hung around the boxing ring to cover the floor level, made up of judges, fighters, staff, production crew, refs and boxing officials. “The [HDL] 6-A has been a game changer for us,” said Jasinski. “It’s a great sounding, powerful speaker with an amazing price point. We jumped on board right away. We could throw it up on a stick for small gigs, to building 10-module arrays for festivals—it’s a very versatile box. We built 4 box arrays in stereo hanging over the ring on the north side to cover the ring walk, 3 box arrays on the south side, and one box for the east and west, basically straight down to hit the floor area.

Reggio nell'Emilia —The RCF Audio Academy hosts its first in-depth certification course called RCF Professional Team. RCF Professional Team certifies pro audio engineers and certifies their knowledge of RCF products. This in-depth training course is creating a team of professionals and companies that guarantee the best sound quality for the listener, and optimum results for the client, when deploying RCF systems. "We felt the need to certify the best professionals who use RCF products," said Fabrizio Grazia, RCF Sales Manager and coordinator of RCF Professional Team [Italia]. "Although RCF products are easy to use and incorporate technologies that facilitate installation and setup, we also want to educate our customers with extensive knowledge for optimal use of our technologies in every scenario." The first session was held on October 19-20, 2020 at the RCF Audio Academy, the company's training center, taking all necessary safety precautions with social distancing guidelines in place. The course, held by RCF system experts, includes two full-day sessions. It starts with an entrance test to examine each participant's proficiency so that the lessons can adapt to the students. The course ends with a final verification test to evaluate the knowledge acquired and to clarify any uncertainties. With a passing test result, each student will join the Team. Each student will receive a certificate of participation and subsequently certified as a member of the RCF Professional Team. RCF Professional Team opens the door to numerous advantages. It is a continuous training course that certifies both the audio professional and highlights the company's quality to clients, productions, promoters, and artists. It's an opportunity to improve the company's know-how, develop cross-rental activities, collaborations, and create synergies between companies and professionals. RCF Academy will continue to develop its coursework on new technologies for the RCF Professional Team. Earlier this year, International pop sensation Katy Perry performed a free concert in the small but prominent town of Bright in Victoria’s North East. ‘Fight On’ was a family-friendly event held to thank emergency services and first responders to Australia’s recent bushfire crisis. An exceptional popstar needs exceptional sound, and this is where local production specialist Densal Audio was able to deliver. A formidable array of RCF’s first-class workhorse HDL 20-A units were flown on both sides of the stage, an immense 11 units per side. Front fill was provided by groupings of RCF’s TT 22-A II high definition point source speakers. Highlighting their versatility, side, and rear fill was provided by further sets of HDL 20-A units, ground-stacked into small arrays to ensure coverage from all angles of the Pioneer Park Recreation Reserve.

Cinzella Festival returns to Grottaglie (Taranto) in the beautiful location of the Fantiano Quarries. Despite the social distancing guidelines for outdoor venues, the audio system of choice is the RCF HDL 10-A. Together with the main audio system, Provinciali Service chose RCF for all the audio on stage. In its fourth edition, the Cinzella Festival is the festival dedicated to music and cinema, which has become an authentic celebration of artistic and cultural attraction between the splendid Murgian hills and the deep sea strips of the Ionian-Salento peninsula. Directed by the actor Michele Riondino, the musical line-up includes live performances of Diodato, winner of the Sanremo 2020 Festival, Andrea Laszlo De Simone, Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, Mama Marjas & Don Ciccio, and Guano Padano. As per tradition, the festival took place at the Fantiano quarries, a location with a vast landscape with breathtaking scenery: a former tuff quarry that has now become a natural park. The Cinzella Festival owes its name to a figure well known to the popular culture of the area. Cinzella was a famous "companion" of men and youngsters, a woman so special as to remain etched in the collective memory. Legend has it that the statue named after the woman venerated tourists who often mistaken it for a religious icon. "The project is straightforward, with two classic 10-module HDL 10-A line arrays with three subs HDL 15-AS placed at the top of the PA, and two side fills per side, each with six HDL 10-AS subs,” says System Designer Luca Scornavacca, who describes the audio project and the choices made. "I really like this configuration for two reasons. First: they can project the low mids where the PA does not reach. Second: this configuration improves the distribution of the low mids of the cluster. The line array is in overshoot configuration, adding a few more boxes than usual to maintain a constant SPL throughout the venue without any pressure drop in the back rows." The HDL 15-AS is a 15" high power hangable subwoofer, designed to integrate perfectly into a suspended array of HDL 10-A modules. It transforms the audio system into a 4-way system (2-way of HDL 10, one of HDL 15-AS hanging and the fourth with six subs 21" SUB 9007-AS and six more 18" SUB 8006-AS on the ground). Antonello Borrelli, system manager and FOH sound engineer, explains that "The low-frequency section is a hybrid approach and has been designed to ensure good coverage. At the same time it satisfies the sound taste of the various audio technicians who accompany the numerous bands of the festival." Scornavacca specifies that "Subs are split into two stacks of three SUB 8006-ASs and one array of six 9007-ASs in the center." On the stage, managed by sound engineer Francesco Gaudio, two SUB 8006-ASs, and an HDL 10-A module as side-fill, 8 15" NX 15-SMA stage monitors are installed and a reinforcement of two SUB 8004-AS for the drum-fill.

Located in the Black Sea resort town of Anapa, military innovative technopolis "ERA" is built to reduce the time from the creation of innovative scientific projects for the country's defense capability and for peaceful purposes. The Russian solution provider Avilex was selected to develop the multi-zone warning system for the facility covering more than 17 hectares area and 5 buildings, also integrating the buildings together creating a unique broadcasting system. Functioning structures include an assembly hall and life support facilities, a residential unit for soldiers (for approx. 2000 people) a sports and health complex with a swimming pool and fitness equipment, as well as a number of technical facilities and sites. The construction of this military complex advanced at an unprecedented pace to have a fully working facility in less than one year after the foundation was laid. With the assistance of ARIS, the Russian RCF distributor, Avilex deployed more than 300 RCF products on the area. All powered by RCF IPS amplifiers, the installation features a vast range of RCF passive speakers - MR series of point source speakers, CS column speakers, VSA steerable column speakers, HD weatherproof horn speaker, and also active line arrays such as the HDL 20-A with SUB 9006-AS.

Situé sur le mont Titano, le stade de Saint-Marin est le centre de football du micro-État du même nom. Il est né en 1969, connu sous le nom de Serravalle Stadium. Le renouvellement complet de ces derniers temps a conduit à la construction d'une tour de service avec infirmeries, gymnase, physiothérapie, une vaste salle de presse et studios de télévision, un grand mur LED et un système audio RCF récemment mis à niveau. Situé à quelques centaines de mètres de la frontière avec l'Italie, il fait partie des premiers stades au monde à avoir adopté un gazon mixte synthétique / naturel, d'une capacité totale de 5000 places et a accueilli les matchs du Championnat d'Europe des moins de 21 ans en 2019. Le stade de Saint-Marin a également organisé les cérémonies d'ouverture des Jeux des Petits États d'Europe en 1985, 2001 et 2017 et les éditions du Rallye Légende depuis 2002. L'établissement sportif est homologué en tant qu'installation de catégorie 3 de l'UEFA. Il accueille également les championnats nationaux de la République de Saint-Marin, le championnat de Saint-Marin et la Coupe Titano, ainsi que les préliminaires de la Ligue des champions et de la Ligue Europa. "Après avoir investi dans un grand mur LED, nous étions convaincus qu'un système audio de qualité professionnelle augmenterait l'engagement du public pendant les matchs et les événements", commente Elya Bonifazi du département Organisation de la Fédération de football de Saint-Marin. Compte tenu de l'utilisation prévue et de la hauteur du toit, la conception du système comprenait un système distribué composé de huit [8] haut-parleurs coaxiaux P3115T accrochés sous le toit et de six [6] haut-parleurs coaxiaux P3115T pour la partie couverte de la tribune sud et de deux [2] haut-parleurs coaxiaux P6215 pour la section découverte. De plus, il existe deux [2] P6215 à utiliser pour le renforcement sonore du champ. Deux [2] subwoofers HS2200 ont été installés pour compléter le système, fournissant une poussée adéquate sur tout le spectre sonore. Les P3115-T et P6215 sont des enceintes coaxiales bidirectionnelles résistantes aux intempéries également incluses dans la conception du système. Une couverture optimale est obtenue avec des cornes à directivité constante et une puissance et une efficacité suffisantes pour une grande variété d'applications, à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur.
