Antrim Forum in Northern Ireland offers every leisure activity imaginable, all under one roof — from Tenpin bowling to international netball tournaments, as well as a 25m lane pool and separate leisure pool. Add to that Spa, Badminton, Squash courts, well-equipped Fitness studios, an outside track and two major reconfigurable, multi-purpose sports halls and you get some idea of the scale of a facility designed to cater for all ages and abilities within the community.

Operated by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, MGA Communication recently won a competitive tender to undertake a site-wide sound system overhaul when the existing PA and CCTV systems were no longer deemed fit for purpose. In leading the facility into the digital age, MGA were able to source all their components in the multi-zone installation from the extensive portfolio of RCF. Antrim Forum originally opened at the end of 1972 and MGA themselves had installed a sound system as far back as 25 years ago.

One of Bengaluru’s most classy restro-bar Gilly’s Redefined now has the hottest new entrant in the city’s clubbing scene: Fandom. This sprawling party venue spreads over 4000 square feet, includes a dance floor and a VIP area. The National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, Belfast, has been completely redeveloped, following £31m of funding from the Northern Ireland Executive. This included demolition and rebuild of the South and Railway (East) stands, and the subsequent demolition of the West stand, and complete renovation of the North stands by building contractors, O’Hare & McGovern.

This gives the National Stadium, where the Irish Football Association is headquartered, an all-covered seating capacity of 18,434.
When Equipo Vision schedules training and marketing meeting, they don’t use a conference room or classroom, they book a stadium.

A subsidiary of Amway products, Equipo Vision set out to schedule their 10th anniversary of training and marketing sessions, hiring Dallas-based NZ Events in cooperation with DH Systems for total AV production needs for a four date tour.

With venues ranging from 6,000-12,000, this became a concert-style production. As the primary purpose of the events is for training and education, intelligibility to every seat was of the highest importance. Additionally video playback and high impact music playback are elements of the show.

When it came to consider a system to meet the sound specifications required, with ease of handling, cartage and set up, DH Systems Senior Engineer Zachary Anthony found the new RCF small format HDL6-A an ideal solution.

History has it that the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana had a reputation for being known for the worst sound for live concerts in the 1970’s. Because of that, the renowned Texas trio ZZ Top would use the venue for their tour rehearsals knowing if they could get the sound good there, it could sound good anywhere they went.

In 2016, the Shreveport Mudbugs, a new North American Hockey League expansion team, signed a 12-year lease agreement with the facility. As the new team prepared for their debut season, plans were put into place to upgrade the facility’s audio system to increase the fan experience.

With that, team owner Tommy Scott called on regional event production company Paxton Sound to explore and evaluate the best solution for the venue.

RCF is pleased to announce that HDL 6-A active line array and the NXL 44-A active two-way line-source array won the Readers’ Choice Award, an illustrious award of the Pro Audio industry.

The HDL 6-A is the winner for the category Line Arrays: Small Format (less than 8” woofer) while the NXL 44-A is the first choice for the Loudspeakers: Column/Line Source segment.

The Readers’ Choice Awards is unique for a number of reasons, chief among them (and as the name says), all voting is the exclusive domain of the readers of ProSoundWeb, the online audio news outlet affiliated with Live Sound International magazine.

Two and one-half years in the making. The Lambs Chapel has opened their new campus in Burlington, North Carolina. The church’s campus is the second for the non-denominational Evangelical Christian church, with the original campus 10 miles away in Haw River. With the county population continuing to grow, the church decided to build the new campus and will continue to operate both facilities.

The Burlington campus spans 36 acres and includes a family life centre, recreation facilities and an educational complex with children and student ministries, along with toddler and infant centres.

The main sanctuary is 90,000 square feet with seating for over 2,000 on the main floor and large balcony. During the two years of design and preparation, Lambs Chapel relied on Kernersville, North Carolina-based AVL Environments for consultation and implementation of their audio and visual needs.

When Kevin Krak designs a facility for a client, his goal is to present the “wow” factor. Krak is CEO of Gallant Building Solutions. The company designs properties for company headquarters, corporate offices and commercial spaces for many Fortune 100 companies. Their goal is to provide an enhanced, efficient and stimulating workplace environment.

That’s exactly what he’s done with the new club Rochaus in West Dundee, Illinois.

“Live music is my hobby, my passion,” says Krak. “I love concerts and love the performers’ relationship with the crowd, it’s all an experience.”

With that, Krak was driving through the small Chicago western suburb and saw a for sale sign on a building that recently housed a rock club.

The famous U2 tribute band Achtung Babies (Italy) runs the 1st Tour in France on RCF sound system. The live show took place at Lestrem in France. The 500 people audience were gladly surprised by the precision of the sound system: the 4 pieces three way TTL6-A active line source in conjunction with 2 subs 9006AS turns every venue in an high fidelity room, with very low distortion and incredible power. The TT system was tuned using RDNet networked control. ART312A mk3 speakers were installed as frontfill. The sound engineer Francesco Venturi and the technical team of OK Sono ( Bethune) did the implant and tuning.
