The built-in amplifier raises a very low level microphone signal to the nominal value of 0 dB (775 mV). An auxiliary input enables up to thirty BM 3002 stands to be connected in series on a single high level input of the amplifier. Four different function modes are possible when multiple microphone stands are connected in series: o mixed; o interlocking; o mixed with two stands having graduated priority; o interlocking with two stands having graduated priority. The excellent directivity of the condenser microphone reduces feedback, off-axis noise, and background noise. The stand includes a generator for a two-tone signal (chime) to precede microphone announcements.
