RCF Drives the Music at Bulli Summer Festival 2024

Ausee, Germany - The Bulli Summer Festival 2024 at the scenic Ausee once again brought together fans of VW Bulli culture. Known for its relaxed atmosphere and diverse program, the gathering attracted visitors from across Europe. As the technical partner, RCF ensured that musical performances, speeches, and stage shows were delivered with outstanding sound quality.

To cover the festival grounds, two main hangs were deployed, each consisting of five RCF HDL 28-A line array speakers. These compact yet powerful speakers provided precise audio reproduction and consistent coverage across the entire audience. Low-frequency reinforcement was handled by SUB 9006-AS subwoofers, delivering deep, punchy bass—perfect for an outdoor setting.

Beyond the main PA, the stage monitoring was also fully equipped with RCF speakers, ensuring clear and accurate sound for the performers, ultimately enhancing their onstage experience.

The entire sound system, including both the main PA and stage monitors, was controlled via the RCF RDNet system. RDNet allowed for real-time monitoring and configuration of all speakers within a dedicated network. Engineers could adjust parameters such as volume, equalization, and delay on the fly, ensuring consistent audio quality throughout the festival and allowing quick responses to changing conditions.

Tim Cleve, Managing Director of TJ Audio and responsible for the technical execution, highlighted the system’s performance: “The combination of HDL 28-A line arrays and SUB 9006-AS provided balanced sound coverage across the entire venue. With RDNet, we were able to monitor and fine-tune the system dynamically to match the festival’s needs.”
